*Rub additional drops of the same amount as above into your hands and rub into the to the neck, chest, legs and above the tail. You can also add the drops to a bandana or cotton collar.  These recommendations are based on an average from information I have collected throughout the US. Your area may require more and due to all natural products, you can use every week if you see that it works for you. I highly recommend Buddy's Flea & Tick Remedy Spray as well for in between applications for added protection when going on a hike or other outdoor activity. When you no longer smell it, time to re-apply.

The product is calculated to last 6 months for two (50) lb. dogs and will last you less time or more time depending on what size dog you have.
Application: Keep in mind when applying Buddy's Flea & Tick Remedies that you hold the dropper no less than 6" above the desired area that you are applying to. This will prevent the oils from hitting the skin directly and givng time to seep into their hair folicles. I also recommend rubbing it all over them to ensure full coverage. This is the ideal application process and when the smell goes away (about a week or two) it is time to re-apply

Warning:   If your dog is experiencing an irritation or a rash, never use water to “wash off oils” this will enhance the effect.  You can use a V-6 (high quality vegetable or coconut oil - really any old vegetable oil will do) directly on site of application or irritation that will dilute the effect and soothe.  Use wisely.
Buddy's Flea & Tick Remedy really works!

The formula which I have created is a blend of 100% pure essential oils that when applied to the pets skin has up to two weeks of protection. This blend works by being absorbed by the pores and acting as a repellant against fleas, ticks and other pests, protecting your pets.  This formula has been tested in some of the worst areas for fleas and ticks such as Georgia, South Carolina, Texas, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, New York, Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia and Washington, DC. This product is still new to the public so with time, we are hoping to see great results in all states across the country.  Guess what? It is safe for humans too!

One of the primary problems associated with fleas is that their life cycle is relatively short, typically lasting seven to 21 days – which makes them especially difficult to control. Flea larvae thrive if they have shelter in the form of moist organic debris, which also provides them with thei food source essential their reproductive success. They are also averse to direct sunlight, so will not survive in shade-free areas; one of the reasons that they find carpets and the cracks in between floorboards such an accommodating home. Upon emerging from their larval stage, adult fleas must soon locate a suitable host to provide a food source within the first few days, which is where you or your pet comes in!

About the Flea & Tick Products,

The 100% pure essential oils in my very own special blend are eucalyptus, rosemary, cedar wood, clove bud, geranium, lemongrass and pure jojoba oil as a base. Jojoba oil contains chained C20 and C22 fatty acids, and two unsaturated bonds. This allows the oil to be manipulated for different uses. It is almost pure in nature and is non-toxic, resistant to becoming rancid and it is also biodegradable, which is a great topical application on dogs. Іt aids in healing dry and itchy skіn. Іt also increases the production of skin cell renewal. Jojoba oil is good for skin irritation due to dermatitis, as it effectively penetrates the skin, and helps to keep the dog's skin well moisturized. Jojoba oil helps to heal skin wounds quickly as well. This is the main reason I chose this base for my blends. We recommend that you use Buddy's flea & Tick drops in conjunction with Buddy's Flea & Tick "Bug" Spray. The spray makes the application a little easier and it really allows for the full coverage for inbetween applications.

This product is not guaranteed to work on all dogs due to individual sensitivities. Some dogs have different reactions and can show signs of displeasure so always test the oil with just a drop on the shoulder blades over the first 24 hours to make sure there is no adverse reaction. The amounts that should be used really vary with each dog. To start, I recommend using 3 drops on the shoulder blades and 3 drops above the tail 2x a month for a 50 lb dog and see how they react to it. If you find no itching at all and no irritation, then it may be the target dose. Buddy is 80 lbs. and I generally give him 4 drops on both spots 2x a month because he is a little heavier and he loves to roll in the grass. Little Rusty who is only 15 lbs. generally gets 2 drops in both spots 2x a month and that seems to work well with her. As for the spray for in between applications, just a spray in the same general area will work best. If your pet is going out into higher grass or wooded areas, maybe a spray on their under carriage would work as well (avoid contact with genital areas). Keeps in mind that depending on activity and playtime and especially after baths, these products may be used more often than the standard flea medication because it is all natural. Test it out and see what works best for your pet.

Warning: If your dog is experiencing an irritation or a rash, never use water to “wash off oils” this will enhance the effect. You can use a V-6 (or high quality vegetable or coconut oil) directly on site of application or irritation that will dilute the effect and soothe. Use wisely. Cats may be more sensitive than dogs, so keep a sharp eye on them, I recommend using a diffuser with cats. Drooling or excess salivation is an indication that the mixture is too strong and can be diluted with a little oil. Please email me if you have questions or concerns and I will be happy to assist. jennifer@buddydogshop1.com

This is approximately a six (6) month supply for two 50 lb dogs; $4.17 per dog, per month. This bottle will last less or more depending on the size of your pet. Buddy's Flea & Tick Remedy is only a preventative, if you currently have fleas you must rid the fleas to prevent further infestation. This product does not kill fleas.
Buddy's Calming Remedies

Does your dog have separation anxiety and seems to never want to slow down? This blend of Lavender, Chamomile and hints of other soothing oils is also pleasantly calming, and can be used to reduce stress in a variety of situations. Keep in mind that not all anxiety is just behavioral, there may be underlying medical issues, so seeing a veterinarian is an important step. I will warn you this is not the most pleasant smell, it is effective though if used properly.

This blend which I like to call ‘Buddy’s Calming Remedy’ has been tested on my dogs for quite some time now, Cooper is my high anxiety boxer/beagle who is scared of everything from flags blowing in the wind to plastic bags rolling down the street, this remedy has worked miracles with him.  We also had my brother’s two weimaraner’s for a month last Thanksgiving and adding two dogs into a small beach house with four dogs already residing there was crazy.  Thanks to this essential oil blend, our dog sitter did not quit and the pups were calmer than they would have been without.  Lavender is known for its sedative properties and for its ability to help calm stress and anxiety and to help promote sleep. If used in excess, however, Lavender oil can actually act as a stimulant so start with a little and gradually increase. As I mention with all new products, always introduce slowly to make sure the there is no adverse effect.

The 100% pure essential oils are lavender, chamomile, vetiver, valerian root and pure avocado oil as a base. Avocado Oil contains Omega 3 acids, which is great for topical applications on dogs. It contains vitamins A, D and E – aiding in healіng dry and іtchy skіn.  It also increases the production of skin cell renewal. Avocado oil is good for irritated skin due to dermatitis, as it effectivly penetrates the skin, and helps to keep the skіn well moisturized. Avocado oil helps to heal skіn wounds quickly as well. This is the main reason I chose this base for my blends.

This product is not guaranteed to work on all dogs.  Some dogs have different reactions and can show signs of displeasure so always test the oil with just a drop on the shoulder blades over the first 24 hours to make sure there is no adverse reaction. The amounts that should be used really vary with each dog.  To start, I recommend just a couple drops/sprays on the shoulder blades, which will hopefully make their time away from you easier on them.  You can gradually increase the drops/sprays but personally I would just add a drop/spray or two each application.  This can be done in the morning or in the evening to soothe.  Due to all natural products, this can be used everyday if needed.

Buddy's Ear Spray

Is your dog prone to ear infections?  Well then this is the remedy for you!  If you sense an infection coming on or the start of one, this blend of 100% Pure theraputic grade essential oils of Lavender, Thieves, Purification, Lemongrass Copiaba and Heilchrysum combined with distilled water and a V-6 base works wonders! Just a couple of sprays twice a day will soothe your pet's ears. Depending on the animal and the severity of the infection, if it does not clear up in a weeks time, take to your veterianarian for a follow up, it could be a bigger problem.

Discontinue after ears have healed and no longer show signes of discomfort.  This can be used for months at a time as long as your pet shows no adverse reaction.  Always use caution and spay just  little and see if there is any reaction.  If there is, you will notice them tryoing to "get it off" by rubbing their face into blankets. Please refer to "Pets with sensitivity to oils" by clicking the colored link. It will not harm but you will know right away of their sensitivity level.  Within minutes, they will be fine.  This is the case with all essential oil products.
Buddy's Skin Soothing Spray

The 100% pure essential oils are therapeutic grade consisting of Thieves, Lavender and Helichrysum along with a base of Aloe Vera, colloidal silver, jojoba oil and distilled water.  This blend of oils has very high anti-inflammatory properties, which in turn is a considerable contribution to healing and soothing as well as a great antibacterial to keep the affected areas clean.

This product is not guaranteed to work on all dogs.  Some dogs have different reactions and can show signs of displeasure so always test the oil with a single spray to a soft part of his belly over the first few hours to make sure there is no adverse reaction. Once you have had success with your test area my recommendations are as follows:  Shake well spray 3-5 pumps all over their sensitive areas, once to twice a day. For instance, Cooper our pup gets raw between the paws when there is grass in the yard because he is allergic (yes, three seasons of the year).  I spray this solution between his toes to help soothe the skin.  I also spray his back because he has dry skin and this keeps his skin soft and less itchy. The amounts that should be used really vary with each dog depending on the dogs’ size and needs. Test it out and see what works best for your pet.

Once you have had success with your test area my recommendations are as follows:  Shake well and spray 1-3 pumps directly on the red area of his rectum, three times a day. To reduce pain and inflammation associated with anal glands, in some cases, the glands may need to be suppressed by your veterinarian.  If your pet experiences anal gland issues regularly such as licking or rubbing his bum on the ground, use this solution.  Remember that if you see a red painful bulge or blister at the side of the rectum, the tissue has ruptures and you should contact your veterinarian. This recipe can be used long term, for several months at a time if necessary.  The amounts that should be used really vary with each dog.  Test it out and see what works best for your pet.
